Engagement Photos at the Beach
Today’s blog is going to throw it back to one of my favorite beach engagement sessions I shot last year. Allison & Chris hire me to capture their engagement photos while I was back in my home town of Virginia Beach. I love the simplicity of their session and how their personality & love for each other really shine through in the photos. I had so much fun just running around in the sand with them. I am not going to lie, growing up in a beach town, I was a little over beach sessions but this engagement session revitalize my thoughts on Beach Engagement photos. Now a year after this session, I live in Los Angeles California and beach engagement photos look a whole lot different. So with that being said I thought I would share some of the beautiful beach in California that would be perfect for engagement photos.
1. El Matador Beach
El Matador Beach in Malibu is a stunning location for engagement photos and a beach I have had the pleasure of shooting at multiple times. It’s renowned for its dramatic rock formations, sea caves, and pristine sandy shores. Nestled along the rugged coastline, this picturesque beach offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, creating a romantic and enchanting backdrop for any photoshoot. The golden hour at El Matador is particularly magical, as the setting sun casts a warm, golden glow over the landscape, making it an ideal spot for capturing intimate and memorable moments. You do have to look at the tide schedule because I shot there at high tide once and most of the beach was under water!
2. Point Dume State Beach
