Uptown Charlotte North Carolina Proposal

Matt reached to me about capturing his proposal to his then girlfriend Kristina! He told me he found me because I had just shot some of their friends Patrick & Clair’s proposal like a week or two prior! Click here to check out Patrick and Clairs proposal story! Matt had picked a little park tucked in the heart of Uptown Charlotte to pop the big question! Now there are several different ways I have captured proposals. One way is when the couple is together and I am hiding in the bushes or somewhere nearby ready to spring into action when the moment comes. The second way is we make some excuse for me to be with the girlfriend with my camera and then the boyfriend comes and surprises her. The last way I have captured a proposal is that I meet up with the boyfriend and he has whoever is with his girlfriend bring her to a desired location and surprises her when she arrives. Matt and I planned to go with the last way and met up at the park in Uptown beforehand. Kristina had family in town and was out with her sister on the day of the proposal. Matt had made plans for them to “meet up for dinner” in Uptown and told Kristina’s sister what was really going on! Thankfully the park was pretty much empty so when Kristina came up from the parking garage and walked into the park there was just Matt standing there! He Immediately walked over to her and dropped to one knee. Kristina had the biggest smile on her face from the moment she saw Matt standing in the park and it grew into happy tears when she realized what was really going on! Kristina's sister came over and joined in the celebration as soon as Kristina said yes! We took a few minutes following to capture a few more photos and then they were off to their real dinner plans at a brewery just outside the city where some of their close friends and family were waiting to celebrate the good news!
